Hello Kindergarten Families!
My name is Dawn Johnson and I will be your child’s kindergarten teacher for the 2013-2014 school year. I am very excited about the opportunity to partner with you to help your student have a productive school year!
This is my fourth year teaching. I taught for the Missouri Division of Youth Services for three years . I received my bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Harris-Stowe University, and am currently finishing my master’s degree in special education from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I hold Missouri teaching certificates in Early Childhood Education, Birth-3rd grade; Elementary Education, 1st -6th grades and Special Education, 1st -12th grades.
I want to provide your student with valuable learning opportunities. We will work on the routines and procedures that will help us maintain a responsible learning environment. Communication between home and school is very important to me. If you ever have any questions about your student or our learning in general, please do not hesitate to contact me
